A Board Holds the Plan. It Won’t Move the Cards.
Your team didn’t set up Trello so you could spend your evenings dragging cards around. But that’s the deal with any board: it holds the plan beautifully - the lists, the cards, the due dates, the comments that explain what’s happening and who owns it - and then it waits. It waits for you to read it, update it, and remember the follow-up nobody moved.
I’m Nir Sabato, co-founder and CEO of Catch. We built Catch to be the Admin Savior - an AI executive assistant that takes the end-to-end admin off your plate. Connect Trello, and Catch works your boards the way a sharp chief of staff would: it pulls the right card before a meeting, moves it after, and keeps lists and due dates current - without you ever opening the app.
What Catch Does in Your Trello Boards
Catch connects through Trello’s official API and works on top of your boards, not instead of them. Trello stays exactly as your team set it up - Catch is just the layer that finally does the reading and the upkeep for you.
And because Catch reaches you wherever you already are - Slack, text, iMessage, or a phone call - you don’t have to be in Trello to get anything out of it. Ask “what’s left on the launch board?” from your phone and Catch pulls the lists, the open cards, and what’s due, then answers in plain language.
How to Connect Trello to Catch
Connecting happens right in your chat with Catch and takes about a minute. You authorize Catch from Trello’s own screen - nothing is shared until you approve it.
- Start with CatchNo account yet? Sign up at app.catchagent.ai and connect your calendar to get going.
- Ask Catch to connect TrelloMessage it on any channel - "Connect my Trello boards." Catch sets up the integration and sends back a secure connection link.
- Authorize on TrelloOpen the link and you're taken to Trello's own authorization screen. Review the access, approve it, and you're redirected back - connected. Catch never sees your password.
- Put it to workTry "Show me what's due this week in Trello" or "Add a card to the Launch list to follow up with the vendor," and Catch takes it from there.
Authentication
Catch connects to Trello through a standard authorize-and-connect flow - you grant access from Trello’s own screen, so Catch never sees or stores your Trello password.
- You authorize from Trello. At connect time you’re sent to Trello’s authorization page, where you review the access being requested and approve it. Nothing is shared with Catch until you approve.
- Scoped access, not your password. Catch receives a scoped access token for the boards and actions you approved - never your login. It’s encrypted at rest with AWS KMS and never written to logs.
- Revoke anytime. Remove Catch from your connected apps in Trello’s account settings, or just ask Catch to disconnect. Either one revokes access immediately.
You Stay in Control of Every Write
Reading your boards is one thing; changing them is another, and Catch treats them differently. Actions that write to Trello - adding a card, moving one, setting a due date - run through Catch’s approval model, so it checks with you before it makes a change where your sign-off matters. You get an assistant that keeps the boards current, without giving up control over what lands on them.
Catch is built for executives, which means it’s built around the questions their teams ask before connecting anything to a working system. Catch is SOC 2 Type II certified (audited by EY) and a Google Verified App that passed CASA Tier 2 review. It’s hosted in the US, runs on proprietary models, and does not use your data to train third-party models.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Catch connect to Trello?
Through Trello’s official API. You approve access from Trello’s own screen during setup, and Catch stores the resulting scoped token encrypted at rest with AWS KMS.
Do I share my Trello password with Catch?
No. You authorize Catch from Trello’s own screen and Catch only ever receives a scoped token. Your password never touches Catch.
Do I need to be a Trello admin to connect it?
You need permission to authorize a third-party app on your Trello account. If your Workspace restricts that, ask whoever administers Trello to approve the connection.
What can Catch actually do in my Trello boards?
It can look up boards, lists, and cards, read details, due dates, and comments, bring that context into your meeting prep, and keep boards current by adding cards, moving them across lists, setting due dates, and commenting. Changes that need your sign-off go through Catch’s approval step first.
Is my Trello data secure with Catch?
Yes. Catch is SOC 2 Type II certified (audited by EY) and a Google Verified App that passed CASA Tier 2 review. Your data is hosted in the US and never used to train third-party models, and your Trello token is KMS-encrypted at rest and never logged.
How do I disconnect Trello?
Remove Catch from your connected apps in Trello’s account settings, or ask Catch to disconnect. Either one revokes access right away.
How much does the Trello integration cost?
It’s included. Catch is a flat $99 per month - no credits, no usage tiers, no per-integration fees - and there’s a 7-day free trial, so you can connect Trello and watch it work before you pay anything.
